Kristin P. Hutchins, MHA

President and Chief Executive Officer

Kristin P. Hutchins leads GuideStar’s expert team in the development and management of comprehensive clinical research programs for hospitals, health systems and physician practices. Her mission is to deliver clinical trial management services to clients with a precision of execution, efficiency and operational excellence, while enhancing the client’s strategic business growth, and still respecting the client’s individual needs and goals.

Most recently she has served as Managing Director and Board Member of Future Factory, an investment holding company with offices in New Orleans and Atlanta. At Future Factory, Kristin worked with a wide variety of portfolio companies, with a primary emphasis on the healthcare and technology industries. She continues to serve on Future Factory’s Investment Committee. Earlier, Kristin was President of American LIFECARE, a multistate managed care organization based in New Orleans and Regional Vice President of Private HealthCare Systems, a national managed care company based in Waltham, Massachusetts. She was a member of the Board of Directors of Topline Solutions, a Seattle-based medical software company. She has also served as President of CityBooks Publishing, a Florida-based software and book publishing company.

Kristin received her Master of Health Administration Degree from Tulane University and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin. Since receiving her degrees, Kristin has been committed to remaining involved with academia. She has been a faculty preceptor in the Department of Health Systems Management at Tulane University and formerly was an adjunct faculty member of Phoenix University. She is active in several trade organizations including the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, the Drug Information Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
